I would be so excited to work with you and your child in The Beary Best Preschool. I have a great love of learning and my goal is to teach children how to love learning, too. The following will help you better understand our classroom policies and procedures. You may contact me with any questions using our Contact form, email admin@thebearybestpreschool.com or call me directly at 801-400-1296.
It is important that parents communicate with me so we can work together to create the finest learning environment possible for your child. I look forward to getting to know each child’s likes, dislikes, learning and communication styles, etc.

When field trips are scheduled, we will notify the parents of these outings by sending home a flyer in your child’s backpack. There will also be a place to check if you would like to help be a chaperone for our class. Please return these notices in a timely manner so we can plan appropriately. EMERGENCIES: Emergencies happen, children get sick, etc. I will always do my best to be there and stay well to teach the children. If a circumstance does arise where I am ill, I will contact you and let you know that school will be canceled accordingly. Staying healthy is important for all of us. In the event I do have to miss a day, I will make it up the following week or whenever it is good for the parent OR issue a refund for that day on the following month’s tuition.
If a parent has an emergency where your child will not be attending, please call me at your earliest convenience. There will be no credit provided to the parent due to a child’s sickness, as I must continue to provide schooling to the rest of my students.
VACATIONS: There will be no refund or credit given for parental vacations. In order to keep your child’s place and enrollment active in The Beary Best Preschool, monthly tuition will still be due.
DROP OFF / PICK UP: When you drop off your child, please walk in and escort them downstairs to our school room. I will be ready and waiting for your child. When you pick up your child, we will be in the front yard. In the winter time, it may be too cold to stand outside. On those days, we will be watching for your arrival through the front room window. Please come to the front door where your child will meet you.
DISCIPLINE: Students in my class are taught to respect each other. We will learn to make good choices and be kind to each other. My teaching philosophy focuses strongly on teaching a child how to be independent and responsible. I believe this provides the potential to create a great sense of self-worth. If a problem arises, the student will go to a “think time” for a few minutes and then I will talk to them privately about their behavior. If anything transpires in the classroom that requires parental involvement, I will contact you.
